Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Apparel Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry and possess in-depth knowledge of woven and knit fabrics. The Merchandiser will be responsible for overseeing current orders, managing new business, ensuring quality control, and maintaining effective communication with buyers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage current orders and new business opportunities.
- Ensure in-depth knowledge and handling of woven and knit fabrics.
- Conduct apparel quality checks to maintain high standards.
- Execute merchandising tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate professionally with buyers via email and other channels.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Update Time and Action (T&A) plans regularly to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Provide production updates and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in apparel merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of woven and knit fabrics.
- Proficiency in quality checking procedures for apparel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to update and manage T&A plans efficiently.
- Proactive in providing production updates and handling issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the fabric and apparel industry.
- Familiarity with inventory and production management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
